About Us
Technology
Based on long-term research on MHC class I antigen presentation from the laboratory of Dr Ping Wang, Queen Mary University of London, Vaxome was launched as a company in November 2004. The company aims to develop a commercially attractive vaccine delivery technology that has the potential to address major unmet medical needs in the field of immunotherapy. From the pre-clinical data generated to date, this technology represents an exciting opportunity offering real improvements over competitor technologies.
Strategic Focus
Vaxome is pursuing a pre-clinical development programme for a vaccine for Hepatitis C virus. The programme addresses a set of key milestones that will add significant commercial value to the technology. The programme will: - Complete side-effect, autoimmunity and adjuvant studies in mice - Optimise peptide-loading protocols - Establish a human microsome cell line to GMP standard for the production of vaccines for clinical trial - Demonstrate specific human T cell responses in vitro and ex vivo
